BeschreibungThese poems are concerned with giving voice to the displaced - both real and fictional. Quan Barry tackles the broad meditative question of the individual's existence in relation to a higher truth, whether examining rituals or questioning, "where is it written that we should want to be saved?"
PortraitQuan Barry, an assistant professor of English at the University of Wisconsin, was a Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford University and Diane Middlebrook Poetry Fellow at the Institute for Creative Writing at the University of Wisconsin. Her poems have been published in P.N. Review, The Missouri Review, and The New Yorker.
