The book makes elegant connections between the design features of a variety of "engineering products." The reader is, as it were, trained to be an inquisitive designer. What structural precautions need to be taken if a complete oil platform, whose length is greater than the height of the highest building in the world, is to be moved from a horizontal to a vertical position?)
