BeschreibungCovers various main areas of focus of cognitive science research that may influence the design of computer-based systems. This book presents several projects from different parts of the world, which offer a variety of applications as examples to show the scope of the benefit is not at all limited to a particular target, like learning.
PortraitEshaa M. Alkhalifa obtained her Ph.D. in Cognitive Science from the University of Edinburgh, UK, and her MSc from George Washington University, USA. She was awarded two science day awards and gave numerous talks internationally. One of her main research goals is to break the ground to allow researchers to cross the divide between the purely theoretical findings of Cognitive Science and the practical applications of computerized systems, by introducing Cognitively Informed Systems. More specifically, she has a research goal to study the implications of human errors caused by cognitive limitations either to memory or reasoning onto their learning.
